Scarsdale Bathroom

Our latest, fanciest [and messiest!] bathroom project.  A walk-in closet and a very small existing 1920's bathroom were combined to create a haven to unwind for the hard working couple.  Now it's the way every master bathroom should be! www.absoluteremodeling.com/ScarsdaleBathroom.html

Mount Kisco Bathroom

This 40 years old bath needed a facelift and a couple of new design ideas to bring back its life.  www.absoluteremodeling.com/MountKiscoBathroom.html

Purchase Basement

Who needs an addition?  This brand new home just received one of the fanciest basements we've built to date.  A seven-foot wide TV screen, wet bar, full bath, walk out basement, and more.  See it for yourself.

Did you know Home Depot is planning to sell products on the Internet sometime this Fall?  Will UPS deliver your next whirlpool?  Well, we'll see.  In the meantime,  www.bathwise.com    bills itself as the "New Internet Bath & Kitchen Superstore" that sells everything on line from sinks to faucets and even whirlpool baths.  We are told you can get it all at up to a 40 percent discounts.  Check it out.

You like granite countertops for your kitchen but it may be out of your price range.  Help is here!  Silestone, www.stonestyles.com .  This company says it has engineered a stone that looks like natural granite and even offer advantages over the real thing!
The manufacturer claims their product is the only maintenance-free countertop on the market.  Without getting too technical, Silestone is composed of 95% quartz 5% pigments, resins, other binders.  The particles are then send through a high-tech compression and heating process.  This is worth a follow-up.

* 13 USEFUL TIPS *

If your doors are hard to close - check the position of your humidifier, wood expands with moisture.

You can remove stains from marble by using a paste of baking soda, water and a few drops of lemon juice.

Clean chrome with an ammonia dampened cloth.

Use fine steel wool coated in paste wax to remove scratches from wooden floors.

Stubborn stain on pavement may be cleaned with mineral spirits.

Two parts linseed oil and one part vinegar once a month will keep your leather furniture supple.

Dust your light-bulbs - dust reduces the efficiency of bulbs up to 75 percent.

Dust your radiators or baseboards - dust greatly reduces their efficiency, too.

Shaving cream can be used as a carpet stain remover.

To remove white spots from mahogany furniture, coat the affected area with Petroleum Jelly.  Within 48 hours, the spots should be gone.

Rub crayon marks in vinyl or linoleum with a bit of silver polish.

To clean up an oil spill, spread sand over the spill to sop it up.

Soot makes an excellent fertilizer.

HAVE A $100 DINNER ON US

Are you aware that your recently completed project became "Our Working Showroom"* and you have become "Our Best Salesperson"?

When your support results into a signed project with us, we will show our gratitude to those of you who recommend us and to those of you who open their doors to let one of our prospect customers see "the Working Showroom"*.

We will express our appreciation by sending you to dinner at one of Westchester’s premiere restaurants, Peter Pratt’s Inn, on us! (A $100 Value.  Good for a la carte dining, Tuesdays to Sundays).

Peter Pratt's Inn was recently awarded a four star rating by Gerry Dawes, a writer for The Journals News.  You can find out more about the Peter Pratt’s Inn by visiting their web site at   www.prattsinn.com .
You’ll be able to review the menu and wine list.  You can also get directions to the Inn; we recommend printing the map.

Bon Appetit!

*What WE call a "Working Showroom" is an actual, real, functional project (i.e.: kitchen, bathroom) that has been built around existing conditions, restrictions and obstructions, as opposed to those setup showrooms found in retailer’s displays where the only limitation is the designer’s imagination!
